Austral Retractaway 40 & 50 Post (Same Colour As Clothesline)

Very Good.To overcome the problem of outdoor clothes drying in winter here in Adelaide and the expense and kind of environmentally unfriendly use of indoor clothes driers I decided to use the extra space in the BIG garden/storage shed to install an Austral Retractable 40 Clothesline. I cannot be more pleased.The west facing shed window allows any sun and heat to warm the huge pseudo 'drying cupboard' PLUS I can easily retract the lines when I am making, building, repairing things in the shed.Such a win win win! Over-all I love my new clothes-line which replaced a very similar one so I already had fixtures in place. Unfortunately I can’t seem to tighten the lines sufficiently to make them taught. We’ve followed the instructions and they appear to be as taught as possible, hopefully they won’t stretch.

The Austral 40 line was easy to set up especially as it was a replacement, the individual lines were really easy to tension as well. The main reason for this was the fact it was an 8 metre length. Vary happy with my purchase.

Clothesline was easy to install, works as it should. Lines were easy to tension. I have it stretched out over an 8m span, and this was the only available option that does that distance. So far, it does the job it's designed to do.

What can I say. When you team this wonderful piece of equipment with an undercover location, the initial cost outlay is soon forgotten with the savings in dry clothes. I don’t need an electric clothes dryer at all!

I can’t fault the service received. The clothesline, poles and other accessories were delivered personally within a day or so of me ordering. The installation instructions were clear and the clothesline was installed with no issues. The unit functions as I expected…. There’s nothing more I can really say.

Clothesline OK I can't complain about the build of the unit itself. Unfortunately the lines have that fiber core and on a 10 meters line length there is too much sagging. I believe your product especially the 10 meters length will benefit a lot if the core will be made of stainless steel rope. I can tell you that without clothes, line was reasonable taut. After wet clothes were placed the sagging in the middle was measured to 700mm.

The clothesline is great!! Was so easy to install. We do a lot of washing with 2 young children with each load managing fantastic. Can’t fault the product and glad it’s Australian made and owned!!!

Exactly as expected

On 31st May I ordered an Austral Retractaway 40 Clothesline on line from Simply Clothelines. The nerxt day i received an email to say that it had been despatached - all good. On 3rd June my wife and I were hit by Covid and laid up for two weeks. On Friday 16th June I became a bit concerened that we hadn't received the clothesline, so I rang Simply Clothelines and explained my concern. The warehose promptly rang me back and advised that it had been delivedered. I was quite adamant that I didn't have it, however the warehouse manager gently suggested that I look around the house in case it wasn't obvious. This I did and low and behold it was sitting at the front door. Living in the country, we rarely use the front door. So, it had been delivered on the 3rd June (three days after despatch) as advised. How embarassing, I rang the compay and appologised, for doubting their excellent service. That's what Covid can do to old people.
