As I am fairly short, my husband installed the clothesline so that I can reach the lines without standing on my toes and I can easily change it's position from vertical to horizontal and back. As it is lower I have put a ribbon on each outside corner to remind my husband not to know his head as he walks past!There is good distance between the first line and the brick wall, which is appreciated.

After researching several compact clotheslines, we decided to go with this Hills Hoist version. We bought this model because it has the metal mount brackets (more durable than flimsy plastic brackets). If you are attaching to a brick veneer wall then you'll need to purchase some 10mm x 50mm Ramset Dynabolt Plus to mount the clothesline properly as the ones provided are too long and won't expand and fix securely into hollow veneer bricks.

Hi Nad, the posts are definitely galvabond steel which is then powder coated. I can assure you there is no aluminium on them.

I love this clothes line so much I bought another for the other side of the house. It foldes so easily and the colour is perfect, almost invisible when folded. Fantastic quality for the price. Very happy would recommend this product.
