Hills Portable 170 Clothesline | Indoor & Outdoor Portable Drying

Replacement for our much loved 15 year old Portable 170 that was destroyed by a heavy falling object. The new 170 has a few differences in the plastic parts but they seem to be good quality and was easy to assemble.

Good in general. But the assembly instructions need to be reviewed.

The best money I have spent in a long time. I can hang out an entire load of washing on my portable 170 clothesline. The spacing between the lines allows for air to move between the clothes.It has been invaluable in getting washing dry with the rainy days we have been having. I love that I can also move it between indoors and outdoors.

This product was recommended by several friends. We recently moved into an apartment and it has been a godsend. It’s very easy to store, lightweight and functional. I was also able to assemble it myself following the video instructions (and I’m not that handy).

I have bought an apartment in Tweed Heads NSW and was concerned about drying sheets so decided to purchase the Hills portable clothesline. It’s so easy to assemble and fold away and sits neatly on the back of a door. Extremely pleased with Hills product, It certainly does the job

As I expected as I have been using the Hills 150 Portable Clothesline since it became available. Both Clotheslines are strong and durable. The 170 being longer with 2 extra lines allows a lot more hanging space plus it is higher which allows for longer items. Both lines are very stable and stand up to the wind. I have had occassions when garments have blown over the top of the line but the line has never toppled over,

I found it a little tricky to put together as I didn't realise that I had to string it too. It took two of us an hour and a half to set up.I am happy with the finished product. It is sturdy for outdoors and it takes 2 wash loads.

So easy to assemble, fold and use. More space than our outdoor fixed line. Love it!

We are very pleased with our new Hills 170 portable clothes line.It can handle a lot of washing and it can be used inside or out for drying clothes. It is well designed as when you are not using it we can easily fold it up and hang it on the back of the door so that it does not use up floor space.

I have been eyeing this up for ages, with a young family who are growing and wearing bigger clothes and yet another cold wet Melbourne winter I was drowning in half dry washing. Only ever able to get it outside for a couple of hours at a time and never dried well on indoor racks my drier couldn't keep up. I finally bought the hills 170 thinking i would mostly use it outdoors in summer to add to my line capacity, plus not worry about rain as we have a large undercover area it can go. It hasn't left the house yet! It's in the lounge and holds 2 full loads of laundry and dries soooo well. Just having to finish off a little in the drier if i need it quickly, but I can't get over how much more effective it is in winter than any other option. I am so so pleased with it. It was a pain to put together but now I only wish I'd bought this years ago.

A bit disappointed to get everything out of the box, attempt to assemble, and then to have a piece of the main part of the clothes line break off during assembly. Dylan was very responsive in organising a replacement but I am still waiting for it a week later. So I have one opened box with disassembled parts messing up my verandah and no clothes line at all.

This is my 3rd clothesline purchase from hills. This time bought a 170 clothesline. This the apple of clothesline. Nothing better in the market. If you care for high quality clothesline that is light weight and still lasts a lifetime, buy Hills. I had a minor issue with the product. Hills immediately dispatched a replacement. Impressed!

It was delivered the next day too.This is our second Hills Portable 170 Clothesline, we love it so much we bought another one for another property. We had a fixed clothesline but like the flexibility to follow the sun or lift the Hills Portable 170 Clothesline to place under cover.To be truthful I did struggle to lift the tab to open it, I couldn’t work it out. I searched online and found a clip on YouTube that helped, the instructions supplied were good too. The one just delivered will not be used regularly so I have closed and it hung up on the back of a door. It’s light enough to do so. This was the first time I got to put it together, my husband did our first. I highly recommend the Hills Portable 170 Clothesline and this company. Great communication too. I purchased the Hills 170 clothesline, it was the best purchase... I have used it outside and inside and it's great... it fits a full load of washing which is great. It's a great buy....

Speedy delivery. Only issue was the line was left at front door when requesting not to leave if no one home. Otherwise line itself is fantastic, strong, durable material and great colour. Would recommend.

Although delivery was slow once my clothesline arrived I was very happy. It was a little fiddly to assemble on my own but I managed it. I find it really easy to move around and love using it both indoors and outdoors.

It is absolutely amazing & saves me a lot of money as I don't have to use my clothes dryer.
